My family and I live with our Criollos in the tranquil village of Heimbuchenthal. This beautiful village lies in the upper Elsava Valley in the middle of the Spessart Nature Park and therefore offers the most wonderful hiking and riding trails.

How it all began:
I was bitten by the riding bug over 30 years ago, as my uncle was a dressage and show jumping instructor. However, I already knew back then that I found the smaller horses more interesting. Finally, almost 20 years ago, I was introduced to a Criollo-Mestizio from South America by an acquaintance. I quickly became aware of this special breed of horse and became curious. After a trial ride, the little black gelding impressed me with his strong nerves, sure-footedness and stamina. As a result, I quickly got my first Criollo-Mestizo.

In the years that followed, a few more Criollos and Mestizos were added. In 2008, I bred my first foal as a hobby.

In 2015, I finally registered my farm, bought my first tractor and a mulcher and decided to turn my hobby into my lifelong dream.

In 2016/2017, I decided to sell my Cruzados and Mestizos to build up a purebred mare line. In September 2017, I was able to attend a foal show for the first time and both foals presented were awarded prizes. Our stallion was presented and licensed in Aalsfeld in 2015. In 2022, I was able to enrich my breeding programme with another special stallion.

Today …
I breed professionally according to South American breed standards exclusively purebred Criollos (Criollo definitivo). Regularly importing suitable breeding stock from South America is a matter of course for me. This allows me to expand my breeding stock and enjoy a further 6-8 foals every year. The success proves me right: so far, only healthy, robust, people-orientated offspring have been born. Pure joy!
